Current Openings
Engineer
The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as an Design Engineer (PE). Our new team member will be passionate about customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone to provide a full range of project management services for capital improvement projects and the use of a full range of professional engineering principles and practices in areas such as civil, structural, water resources, traffic, or contract administration; planning, developing, programming, design, and implementing projects. Our new team member will be able to negotiate and administer multiple contracts, provide technical reviews of designs and estimates, and coordinate with other agencies and utility companies. This classification is distinguished from other engineering work by the requirement for an Arizona Licensed Professional Engineer designation.

Our new team member will be passionate about customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We seek someone to perform skilled preventative maintenance and mechanical repair duties at a water, wastewater, or reverse osmosis facility, remote potable field sites, aquifer storage and recharge sites, and reclaim water turnouts. May serve as a lead worker and may lead projects.

Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone to perform the full range of semi-skilled and skilled operational work in a wastewater treatment facility including monitoring, operating and adjusting equipment. We have an open in OWRF and another opening in AWRF. If hired, we have programs that can be completed, providing the ability to promote to a Utility Plan Operator II and a Utility Plant Operator III.
